Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling and consultation services to military service members and their families, addressing a range of financial services including budgeting, saving, and debt management.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement financial education programs, workshops, and classes to support the financial well-being of military personnel and their families.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to ensure that our program meets the needs of the installation and provides within scope.
  • Virtual Support: Possess the skills to effectively utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication, such as web-based, secure online chat, or video-based communications and secure video teleconference.
  • Trend Analysis: Communicate with leadership and participate in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations to which the counselor is assigned.
  • Training and Development: Participate in regular in-services/training, quality improvement committees or other contract activities as assigned/appropriate.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. May consider applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree. May consider applicants with a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Certifications: Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
  • Experience: Must have over a thousand hours of financial counseling experience.
  • Language: Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English. May be required to be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Security: Every employee must understand, comply with and attest to the security responsibilities and security controls unique to their position; and comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements and internal policies and procedures.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: Salary Minimum: $45,655, Salary Maximum: $68,485.
  • Benefits: This position may be eligible for short-term incentives as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, voluntary and other benefits and perks that enhance your physical, mental, emotional and financial wellbeing.
