Role Purpose
- Act as a bridge between Finance and Genesis Motor America (GMA) departments.
- Support GMA in financial planning and analysis.
- Assist GMA management with data and insights for informed decision-making.
- Prepare and evaluate GMA financial reports and plans.
- Serve as a financial advisor to GMA, identifying areas for enhancement.
- Support the GMA Controller in providing financial assistance to GMA Executive management and department leaders.
- Help GMA establish annual objectives, budgets, and monthly forecasts, ensuring the accuracy and reasonableness of submitted data.
- Analyze monthly GMA results against budget and forecasts, identifying variances.
- Prepare, assess, and present financial reports that reflect performance against budget and forecasts.
- Assist in creating financial presentation materials for management meetings.
- Evaluate GMA's budgets and forecasts, conducting ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
- Collaborate with GMA's Keystone program manager to assess financial impacts.
- Support GMA's monthly Retail Performance Bonus (RPB) and incentive proposal reviews, providing constructive feedback.
- Assist GMA department managers with budget transfers and related inquiries.
- Review various project proposals to ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Compile monthly GMA financial packages for management review.
- Serve as a liaison between GMA and the Accounting team for accounting-related inquiries.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses (e.g., related to Genesis EV projects) and support other areas as required.
- Review and approve/reject all GMA-related purchase requests and payment submissions.
- Perform other related duties as opportunities arise.
- Review and approve GMA purchase orders and requests.
- This role is focused on delivering daily tasks and analyses with a degree of autonomy while receiving general guidance and supervision.
- Independent judgment related to significant management or business operations is not required.
~ A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance is required.
~ An MBA is advantageous.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of five years of experience, with at least five years in a finance-related role.
- Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of general and cost accounting principles, including data processing applications (especially perpetual inventory systems and Microsoft Excel).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Proficient in Excel and capable of utilizing software to automate reporting tasks.
- Familiarity with AS400 and SAP systems, including sales and distribution, vehicle costing, warranty, receivables, and sales incentives.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and standard cost accounting methods.
- Understanding of SQL, QMF query language, and database methodologies.
- Working knowledge of inventory management.
- Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills.
- CPA certification is a plus.

Compensation
$69,000.00 - $99,000.00 Annual
