Job Overview

UC's Department of Biological Sciences is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach Freshman Biology labs, with opportunities to instruct other biology-related courses based on expertise and departmental needs.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars on a part-time basis.
  • May serve as an academic adviser for students and evaluate student coursework.
  • Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of their responsibilities.
  • Review and respond to University-related communications in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Academic degree in an appropriate discipline and prior teaching experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject.
  • Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from various backgrounds.
