Overview of the IT Helpdesk Technician Role:

This professional is responsible for installing, diagnosing, and repairing computer hardware and software, while managing a variety of IT-related queries and issues.

Required Qualifications:
  • Possesses an Associate's Degree in Information Technology (IT), Information Systems, or a comparable discipline; or has at least two years of experience in an IT capacity; or holds a 1 Year IT Certification such as CompTIA A+/SEC+/NET+, Cisco CCNA, MS MTA, AWS Associate, GISF, etc.
  • Preferably pursuing or has completed a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (IT), Information Systems, or a related area.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivers prompt assistance by addressing user inquiries and issues, striving for resolution on the first contact.
  • Identifies and resolves problems, escalates complex inquiries when needed, and maintains comprehensive records for further analysis.
  • Provides support for Active Directory Azure environments, manages ticketing systems, and generates reports for management evaluation.
  • Conducts end-user training, updates IT documentation, and oversees asset management through a helpdesk service platform.
  • Assists users with hardware/software procurement, troubleshoots VDI environments, and supports Epic and MyChart systems.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Exhibits sound judgment, professionalism, and patience in high-pressure situations.
  • Values confidentiality, exercises discretion, and communicates effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Efficiently manages multiple tasks, adapts to emerging technologies, and prioritizes work effectively.
