About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Engineering Lead to join our team at Vantage Point Solutions Inc. As a key member of our power engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and overseeing the construction of power substations, ensuring that our clients' needs are met and their projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Develop complete designs for power substations, including relay schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA layouts, and other technical specifications.
  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Quality Control: Perform thorough quality control reviews at each project stage to ensure that all work meets the highest standards.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and train new engineers, and lead a team of engineers to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Client Relationships: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service and support.
Requirements
  • Education: A BSEE or BSEET degree from an ABET-accredited university, preferably with a power option.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in the power-energy industry, with a proven track record of success in designing and developing power substations.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power systems, electrical circuits, and control systems. Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Current Professional Engineer (PE) license and OSHA training in compliance for the power-energy industry.
