About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our Data Platforms team. As a key member of our Product and Technology organization, you will be responsible for managing the underlying data platform and services that enable reporting, analytics, and superior customer self-service experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the data platform and services to ensure high availability and scalability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement development standards and data solutions that align with our corporate strategy
  • Provide direction for the teams responsible for creating an information advantage for the organization
  • Support engineering and operational excellence by providing a highly available API platform at web scale
What You'll Enjoy
  • Interacting with stakeholders to understand their roadmap and communicate delivery timelines
  • Understanding stakeholder roadmap items with DPOS team dependencies and impacts
  • Providing LOEs and delivery dates to Front-End teams
  • Handling and communicating DPOS team escalations, issues, and risks
  • Coordinating with other DPOS teams for feature delivery
  • Supporting DPOS team Architects in developing initial assessments and detailing architecture
  • Aligning projects in priority order and reviewing project Business Requested Dates, Committed Dates, and Health with stakeholders
  • Partnering with Front-End Delivery Managers and Program Managers to create program plans
  • Coaching and mentoring the team
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in telecommunications, product, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of software engineering team management experience
  • 3+ years of distributed computing software development experience
  • Experience developing distributed software operating in JVM and on Linux
  • Experience leading people and projects
  • BA or BS College Degree or related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree or MBA
  • Knowledge of telecommunication/cable services or industry experience
