About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to join our team at Charles Schwab. As a key member of our O2 team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing our core client data platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop large-scale software systems using Java, Spring framework, and cloud development technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop optimal solutions.
  • Participate in strategic planning discussions and contribute to the development of technical roadmaps.
  • Lead technical efforts to influence decision-making and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in developing large-scale software systems using Java, Spring framework, and cloud development technologies.
  • 6+ years of experience working with containers and microservices in the cloud.
  • 6+ years of experience in cloud deployment in a continuous integration and continuous delivery model (CI/CD).
  • 2+ years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), AWS, or GCP.
  • 2+ years of experience working with databases like MongoDB, Aerospike, and/or PostgreSQL.
  • Prior experience in IT transformations and system modernization initiatives from legacy to distributed platforms.
