Job Summary

The Michaels Organization is seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Community Manager to assist in the day-to-day operations of our residential properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing property operations, and ensuring the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recertification and Leasing: Perform recertification interviews with residents, complete necessary paperwork, and submit to the corporate office.
  • Lead Generation and Follow-up: Track rental inquiries from referrals, walk-ins, and phone contacts. Accept, date/time stamp, and log all applications for unit rental.
  • Unit Showings and Marketing: Show vacant units, market property amenities, and execute marketing campaigns for leasing of rental units.
  • Financial Management: Maintain knowledge of all procedures for Accounts Payable and Receivables, assist the Community Manager with collections efforts, and coordinate with the property messaging service to retrieve messages and follow-up with calls if necessary.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Remain current with all applicable laws and regulations relating to residential rental properties, and maintain knowledge of current company processes and procedures.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Community Manager with ordering office supplies for the property when necessary, and initiate, track, and close work orders utilizing systems for the property.
Requirements
  • Experience: One or more years' experience with residential real estate management, with Tax Credit, Section 8, and/or Public Housing experience preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, with two or more years of college preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Professional appearance, ability to resolve conflicts in a professional manner, excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The Assistant Community Manager will primarily work in an office environment, but will need to meet residents in their units, show units to potential residents, walk around to inspect the property, and work in a multi-story facility including climbing stairs. Evening and weekend work may be required.
