Position Overview

Cyient is seeking a skilled Engineering Material Review Specialist to enhance our operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment and final engineering technical decisions regarding Quality Notifications (QNs) associated with production processes. The ideal candidate should be available for various shifts, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities:


• Facilitate the technical resolution of identified non-conformances on Military, Commercial, and Industrial engine components through collaboration with Module / Part Center Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs) and Part Family Engineering.


• Engage in the Engine Center Manufacturing Corrective Action Board (MCAB) activities.


• Analyze and provide insights to support the identification and execution of corrective actions.


• Deliver comprehensive assembly engineering certified-MRE support to production operations (Assembly Floor and Test Area via QRC Crib QN dispositions) to ensure resolution of engine delivery challenges related to production assembly engineering.


• Conduct final evaluations for engineering on QNs; Review the QN's for thoroughness, B/P for defect description/location, defect classification, 502 engineering recommendations, RRTs, Engine Manual alignment, and Deviations.


• Execute in-depth investigations to guarantee compliance with design and customer specifications.


• Formulate cost-effective repairs or rework strategies to restore materials that align with design intent and required Engineering Analysis Task 502 data.


• Carry out Engineering technical dispositions including maximum extents for Accept, Repair, or Scrap of QNs necessitating MRE action.


• Validate non-conforming characteristic classifications (KPC1, KPC2, and minor) of features being dispositioned; if not categorized, ensure proper classification is entered.


• Confirm the accuracy of content and placement of quality inspections for Repair dispositions and all dispositioned Repair / Rework Travelers.

Qualifications:


• Must possess prior Material Review Board MRE certification from Pratt & Whitney.


• Familiarity with Material Review Board (MRB) requirements and procedures is essential.


• Proven expertise in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.


• Experience in interpreting manufacturing drawings.


• Candidates should have a solid understanding of engine Design, Manufacturing, and Assembly & Test processes.


• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering along with 15 years of relevant experience is required.


• Due to ITAR regulations, US citizenship is mandatory.
