Art Therapist Position at University of California- Davis Health

The University of California- Davis Health is seeking a skilled Art Therapist to join our team. As an Art Therapist, you will work with pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients and their families to provide developmentally and psychosocially appropriate art therapy interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments and implement art therapy interventions for patients and families.
- Provide emotional support, reflective listening, and therapeutic interventions during individual and/or group art therapy sessions.
- Supervise volunteers and students, and provide introductory guidance to interns as appropriate.
- Document assessments, interventions, and plans in medical records.
- Registered Art Therapist, Board-Certified (ATR-BC) or maintain Registered Art Therapist, Provisional (ATR-P) Certification.
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Art Therapy or related field approved by the American Art Therapy Association.
- Knowledge of child development and theory, as well as appropriate Art Therapy interventions with patients and families.
- Ability to effectively communicate with parents, pediatric patients, and siblings about social, emotional, and developmental needs.
This is a 100% on-site position, and the successful candidate will be required to work weekends and holidays as needed.
