Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist to join our team at the University of California-Davis. This is a full-time Academic position in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) or Professor of Clinical (X) series. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care for children, adolescents, and young adults with solid tumors, focusing on clinical and translational research on developmental therapeutics, clinical trials, and pediatric adolescent and young adult cancers.

The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology is a dynamic and growing team comprised of eight specialty physicians and two nurse practitioners. We provide care to a large number of pediatric oncology patients and participate in the Children's Oncology Group (COG), a federally funded cooperative dedicated to the treatment of childhood cancers.

The successful candidate will have multiple opportunities for collaboration within the UC Davis Health System, including the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, UC Davis School of Public Health, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine (Veterinary Cancer Center), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, Center for Biophotonics Science and Technology, and the Institute for Regenerative Cures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care for children, adolescents, and young adults with solid tumors
  • Focusing on clinical and translational research on developmental therapeutics, clinical trials, and pediatric adolescent and young adult cancers
  • Participate in the institution's research/scholarly mission
  • Collaborate with other teams within the UC Davis Health System
Qualifications
  • MD or DO Degree
  • Completed Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology
  • Board Certified/eligible in Pediatrics
  • Board Certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology / Oncology
  • Eligible for licensure in the State of California
  • Proven excellence in clinical care, teaching, and translational research
