Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Wilmington Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in supporting our surgical team by preparing and maintaining the operating room, handling instruments and equipment, and assisting with patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room, including setting up and cleaning equipment and instruments.
  • Assist with patient care, including positioning patients and providing support during procedures.
  • Handle and maintain instruments and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
  • Document patient care records and other relevant information.
Requirements
  • Surgical Technology Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • High school graduate or GED certification.
  • Surgical technician course completion.
  • Strong ethical and moral character references.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in surgical technology.
  • Two years previous Operating Room experience.
  • ASC experience.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced operating room environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
