Job Title: Compliance Analyst

Join the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in a critical role that ensures the organization's compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. As a Compliance Analyst, you will play a key part in maintaining the MTA's reputation for integrity and transparency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and prepare reports to support the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Compliance staff in their efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify potential compliance risks and develop recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Assist in the implementation and coordination of the Internal Control Program, including conducting periodic reviews and self-assessments of the MTA's functions and processes.
  • Develop and maintain clear, accurate records of all Compliance Department investigations and reviews.
  • Provide administrative support to the Corporate Compliance staff, including preparing reports, coordinating meetings, and maintaining records.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Transportation, Public Policy, or a related field from an accredited college.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Compliance, Audit, Legal, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training, or a related field, including at least 1 year in a large, multi-faceted, fast-paced organization or governmental body.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate policies and procedures, as well as experience working with confidential information.
  • Excellent grammar, editing, oral communication, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management within the MTA and communicate effectively with external agencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of MTA operations and business activities.
  • Detailed knowledge of Corporate Compliance programs, especially internal control standards, corporate governance practices, and ethics programs.
  • Budget responsibility in prior experience.
  • Managerial skills.
