This role involves supporting the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing all functions related to the Food and Beverage division. The goal is to ensure guest satisfaction while effectively leading and inspiring the team to surpass customer expectations and uphold the highest standards of products and services, thereby maximizing profitability through efficient cost and labor management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in supervising and training the Food & Beverage team, including Banquets, Restaurants, Room Service, Culinary, and other relevant areas, while managing special projects, promotions, public relations, and marketing initiatives.
  2. Exhibit exceptional customer service and foster positive relations with guests and staff.
  3. Maintain top-tier food and beverage quality standards, service excellence, and marketing strategies to enhance profitability through exemplary customer service.
  4. Ensure consistent adherence to all departmental standards and policies.
  5. Manage food, beverage, payroll, and equipment costs to minimize loss and misuse.
  6. Proactively build positive working relationships through teamwork and effective communication within the hotel.
  7. Maintain a constructive relationship with the Union, ensuring all policies and procedures receive Union approval prior to implementation.
  8. Contribute to the development and execution of cost-saving and profit-enhancing strategies in Food and Beverage to support overall hotel operations.
  9. Consistently ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment for both staff and guests.
  10. Due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry, flexibility in work schedules is required to meet business needs and reporting deadlines.

Qualifications:

  1. Familiarity or eagerness to learn about Food & Beverage operations, including food and beverage knowledge, point of sale systems, cost control, supervisory duties, service techniques, and guest/staff interactions.
  2. Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with guests and team members.
  3. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  5. A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in Food and Beverage is preferred.
