Role Responsibilities:

The RN will report to the Unit Director/Manager and is accountable for the overall nursing practice during the assigned shift. In the absence of the Unit Director/Manager, the RN will collaborate with the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Clinical Coordinator. The nurse will provide professional nursing care based on established nursing knowledge, utilizing the nursing process effectively. This includes assessing patient needs, developing care plans, implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided.

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 2 years of prior RN experience is mandatory.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to function effectively as a team member and serve as a liaison between patients and staff.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and sensitivity when interacting with patients and families.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Must meet the American Heart Association's standards for Basic Life Support (BLS) and renew certification biennially.
