Tact Staff is currently seeking a travel nurse for a position as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical nursing. This travel nursing role offers a unique opportunity to work in various healthcare settings while providing essential patient care.


Job Overview:

  • Shift: 12-hour shifts
  • Employment Type: Travel

The RN will be accountable to the Unit Director or Manager for the overall nursing practice during their assigned shift. In the absence of the Unit Director or Manager, the RN will report to the Clinical Supervisor or Charge Nurse.


The role involves delivering professional nursing care based on established nursing knowledge through the nursing process, which includes:

  1. Assessing patient needs
  2. Developing a comprehensive plan of care
  3. Implementing nursing interventions
  4. Evaluating the effectiveness of care and treatments

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of prior RN experience required.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a team and act as a liaison between patients and staff.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and maintains a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
  • Exhibits high levels of emotional intelligence and sound judgment.

Licensure and Certification:
  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the relevant state.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) as per the American Heart Association standards, with renewal every two years.
