S&S Cycle Seeks HR Leader to Drive Business Growth

S&S Cycle, a family-owned and respected name in the motorcycle v-twin industry, is seeking a highly engaged and self-motivated HR leader to help take the organization to the next level. This individual will transform the human resources experience and impact at S&S Cycle, engaging directly with the Senior Leadership Team to drive business forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate policies and programs concerning employment, training & development, employee relations, compensation, employee benefits, and safety & health.
  • Advise management on all human resource issues.
  • Act as confidential recording secretary in Senior Management Team meetings.
  • Establish and maintain credibility throughout the organization and with the Board of Directors as an effective developer of solutions and business strategy.
  • Manage capital expenditures and manpower budgets within scope of responsibility.
  • Achieve corporate financial objectives by preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action, if necessary.
  • Select, promote, and manage performance & optimal utilization of personnel.
  • Enforce discipline and establish & maintain positive morale amongst employees.
  • Manage all organizational human resource and safety policies and their impact on operations.
  • Maintain work structure by updating job requirements and descriptions for all positions.
  • Provide analysis of and recommendations for organizational compensation, bonus compensation, and benefits.
  • Maintain and analyze all records regarding benefit plan participation, hires, promotions, terminations, and all other human resource statistics for management as required by law.
  • Develop and maintain personnel policies and procedures via the Employee Handbook.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal law and OSHA standards.
  • Act as advisor to the Senior Management Team regarding any human resource or safety issues and/or potential liabilities.
Requirements:
  • Experienced human resources leader with 5+ years of experience; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Flexible, energetic, forward-thinking, and creative, with high moral and ethical standards.
  • High analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
  • Well organized and self-directed.
  • Able to relate to people at all levels of the organization in a positive fashion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information & ideas and serve as a mentor.
  • Degree in human resources, employment relations, or equivalent; must have familiarity with employment law.
