Job Details

Jobot is partnering with a Commercial Energy company to build out their global footprint. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Technical Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Energy industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with SEC regulations.
  • Conduct thorough account reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting of all financial data.
  • Manage debt schedules and liaise with lenders to ensure optimal financial arrangements.
  • Participate in the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise to various business units and assist in the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the preparation of quarterly reports (QoQ) and ensure timely submission.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and changes in accounting standards to ensure the company's compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical accounting role, preferably in the Energy, Construction, or Utility industry.
  • Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
