Job Title: Financial Analyst

At National Guard Employment Network, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Business Financial Management (BFM) Team, you will be responsible for supporting financial/budget execution, performing budgeting, funding execution, and financial analysis to ensure accurate allocation and utilization of financial resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the BFM Team in financial/budget execution
  • Perform budgeting, funding execution, and financial analysis to ensure accurate allocation and utilization of financial resources
  • Update and monitor spend plans and budgets with multiple types of appropriations
  • Review financial data and documentation for compliance with government requirements
  • Manage multiple tasks and complete them within the specified time frame
  • Prepare briefs, status reports, and presentations
  • Work independently and with the BFM team
  • Communicate with internal and external teams
  • Support various financial tasks, special projects, data calls, and updating congressional briefs
Requirements:
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required
Additional Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant federal/DoD financial/budget experience
  • Experience providing client-facing support to federal/DoD programs (Navy/NAVSEA programs desired)
  • Familiarity with DoD Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) cycle
  • Familiarity with appropriation funding obligations, expenditures, and benchmarks
  • Understanding of DoD/DoN procedures and policies (DoD 5000 process)
  • Experience with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)

This position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. VISTA will consider only applicants with an active DoD security clearance.
