Job Title: Financial Analyst

MDW Associates, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to provide support to the Comptroller Office of our Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) client.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing requests for funds release submitted to DARPA Comptroller, ensuring the fiscal integrity of the request and that the required documentation is included.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze requests for funds release submitted to DARPA Comptroller
  • Maintenance of relevant system tables, programming of funds into financial database, reconciliation between source documents and systems
  • Redistribution of allocations within the system, ad hoc reporting of system data, routine checks and balances to guarantee accuracy and special projects
  • Funds Transfer - processing of funding allocation to DARPA from the Office of Secretary of Defense and other sources, and the subsequent issuance of sub-allocations to varied allotment holders within DoD
  • Updating and validating commitment and obligation transactions, correction and reconciliation of DARPA's Headquarters Installation-Level Accounting maintained in the Defense Agency Initiative (DAI)
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of general experience in training and mentoring, analyzing and evaluating complex textual and/or quantitative information, experience with automated systems, and sound oral and written communications skills
  • Three (3) years of specialized experience in management experience in similar services, knowledge of accounting principles and DoD financial policies and directives, and ability to analyze and prepare financial documents in compliance with the DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR)
Preferred Experience:

Experience with Defense Agency Initiative (DAI)

Education:

BA/BS degree
