Job Summary:

The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is seeking a highly skilled Asset Management Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Asset Management Office. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and analytical skills to manage staff, assets, and financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Asset Management: Oversee the management of assets, including establishing goals and objectives, reviewing and analyzing asset data, and preparing reports.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and manage staff, including daily scheduled tasks, priorities, and productivity goals.
  • Financial Systems: Monitor and manage financial systems, including CAPPS/SPA, to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the maintenance and analysis of asset inventory records and physical inventory to ensure compliance with state and agency regulations.
  • Reporting and Reconciliation: Provide management weekly productivity reports and establish goals and objectives to meet productivity guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience and 2 years of experience analyzing data through accounting or asset management transactions.
  • Skills: Intermediate level Excel skills, database management, and knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to asset management practices.
  • Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage fluctuating office program area, department staff, and activities, and ability to devise solutions to administrative problems.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires regular attendance and adherence to agency leave policy. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with competing objectives and goals.
