Overview

Responsibilities
  • Practice at the top of your license and form trusting relationships with patients under the direct supervision of a collaborating physician.
  • Gain increased autonomy and independence in decision making with support from a experienced physician.
  • Impact care delivery and patient satisfaction by having a voice in clinical decisions.
  • Develop a 1:1 relationship and partnership with a physician, clinical staff members, and management.
  • Participate in a structured training program including orientation, shadowing, and onboarding.

As a Physician Assistant in Urology, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing patient examinations and treatment.
  • Ordering diagnostic and therapeutic modalities.
  • Prescribing medication.
  • Providing patient and family education.
  • Completing documentation.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in in-hospital rounds and consults with a surgeon, as well as operating room surgical assistance and post-op clinic and patient follow-up.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an approved school for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistant-Masters Degree.
  • Licensed or ability to obtain licensure in the state of Illinois.
  • Previous Experience (1+ years) in Urology or similar setting.
