Job Title: Entry-Level Developmental Therapist

Soar Autism Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Entry-Level Developmental Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. As a key member of our care model, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of children on the autism spectrum.

About the Role:

As a Developmental Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized care to children with autism. Your primary focus will be on teaching new skills, promoting comprehensive growth, and fostering strong relationships with families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized developmental plans, incorporating the principles of the Early Start Denver Model.
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to design and implement therapy plans, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, providing regular insights on their child's progress and offering guidance rooted in best child care practices.
  • Engage children in play-based routines, transforming everyday moments into opportunities for teaching and nurturing essential life skills.
Qualifications:
  • Genuine interest and prior experience in child care roles, such as daycare, nannying, or similar positions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a talent for building connections with young children and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively on a team and maintain strong relationships with colleagues.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
  • Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client.
