Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide strong customer service in a sales-oriented setting, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Sales and Merchandising: Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry, ensuring maximum sales and effective merchandising of products.
  • Product Knowledge: Provide customers with product information and recommendations, utilizing technical knowledge of HVAC equipment and parts.
  • Order Processing: Complete sales order process for customers, including up-selling associated items and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels, including re-stocking product and managing showroom displays.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve customer relations problems with both dealers and end-users, utilizing strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ year experience in a Counter Sales role, preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong background in technical support, HVAC parts, and customer service/sales, intermediate MS Office capabilities, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, or walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
