Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Officer to join our team at the Public Employees Retirement System. As a key member of our Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division, you will be responsible for processing and reimbursing administrative revolving fund account advances and payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and reconcile travel, training, salary, and miscellaneous expenses, accounts receivables, and payroll.
  • Audit relocation and travel expense claims and other requests for reimbursement from employees, board members, and retirees.
  • Prepare internal, external, and board reports used in tracking and monitoring the status of travel expense claims and expenditures.
  • Code and record daily deposits, respond to inquiries and PRA requests.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for travel rules, regulations, and the Travel Request and Expense Claim (TREK) system.
  • Prepare and update travel policies, procedures, guidelines, and TREK user guides.
  • Perform UAT testing on all TREK production releases and provide TREK training to staff.
