We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Officer to join our team at the Public Employees Retirement System. As a key member of our Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division, you will be responsible for processing and reimbursing administrative revolving fund account advances and payments.
Key Responsibilities- Process and reconcile travel, training, salary, and miscellaneous expenses, accounts receivables, and payroll.
- Audit relocation and travel expense claims and other requests for reimbursement from employees, board members, and retirees.
- Prepare internal, external, and board reports used in tracking and monitoring the status of travel expense claims and expenditures.
- Code and record daily deposits, respond to inquiries and PRA requests.
- Serve as subject matter expert for travel rules, regulations, and the Travel Request and Expense Claim (TREK) system.
- Prepare and update travel policies, procedures, guidelines, and TREK user guides.
- Perform UAT testing on all TREK production releases and provide TREK training to staff.
- Minimum Qualifications: Please refer to the Classification Specification for details.
- Education: Please include a copy of your transcript(s) and/or college degree that demonstrates your ability to meet the minimum education requirements.
- Statement of Qualifications: Please provide a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for the hiring manager's review.
- This position is not eligible for telework and the duties above will be performed onsite at our headquarters.
- Must be able to work in a low wall, cubicle environment with bright natural and fluorescent light.
