The Opportunity
As a Senior Underwriter in the Commercial Services Group, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive financial assessments for credit line extensions to business clients. This role requires a thorough analysis of financial data, utilization of risk modeling systems, and evaluation of creditworthiness while ensuring adherence to policies and regulations. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial as you will frequently interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
The Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial evaluations of companies across various industries using financial statements and supporting documentation.
- Develop detailed proposals that emphasize credit analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies through thorough reviews of ownership and licensing.
- Engage with key personnel and stakeholders to collect necessary information.
- Maintain accurate company records and risk modeling systems.
- Participate in professional development initiatives and comply with company policies and regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to interns and new team members.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at process improvement.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of four years of experience in commercial credit underwriting
- Strong financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)

Base Pay Range: Emerging: $70,000; Experienced: $95,000; Expert: Incentive Compensation: Annual incentive plan eligibility
