The Territory Sales Representative is a key position at Herc Rentals, responsible for identifying, developing, and nurturing business relationships with companies and individuals within their designated territory. Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Territory Management: Visit customer job sites and offices to manage and grow revenue.
  • Networking and Lead Generation: Develop a list of potential clients and consistently contact them through the telephone and internet.
  • Sales Strategies: Plan and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results and goals.
  • Quota Management: Maintain and exceed quotas by renting and selling equipment on a consistent basis.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Identify customer needs and react appropriately while understanding market conditions and local competitors' pricing.
  • Strategic Account Management: Penetrate customers at the strategic level to diversify the customer base to include industrial, traditional, and non-traditional accounts.
  • Team Support: Support all team members.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Promotions, Advertising Sales, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience: Proven track record with 3 to 5 years of outside sales experience within the industrial market and/or heavy equipment industry preferred.

  • Time Management: Ability to follow up with customers in a timely manner.
  • Adaptability: Able to walk into unfamiliar environments and adjust rapidly to the setting.

Compensation and Benefits

Herc Rentals offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $35-$45k per year, plus monthly commission. The estimated first-year compensation is $90-$110k.
