Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Rigging Worker to join our team at the U.S. Pacific Fleet, Commander in Chief. As a key member of our Diving Operations Division, you will be responsible for performing underwater ship husbandry on waterborne Navy vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform underwater ship husbandry on waterborne Navy vessels
  • Use decompression tables, open-surface scuba and surface supplied dive equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with Navy 3M program
  • Perform salvage diving to retrieve items from the water using various methods
  • Install and remove cofferdams, blanks, anchors, anchor chains and move large, heavy items underwater using cranes and rigging gear
  • Repair and replace various ship components
  • Operate dive boats, hydraulic systems and all diver support equipment
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. You must also meet the requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualification Handbook for Trades and Labor Occupations.
