Procurement Specialist

West Sound Workforce is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Subcontract Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and contract management, with a focus on soliciting, negotiating, and administering subcontracts for goods and services.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Subcontract Coordinator will be responsible for planning and coordinating facility surveys, validating requisitions against contract and project specifications, and performing price analysis and negotiation of subcontractor and leasing proposals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Procurement of semi complex, high-dollar subcontractor services and materials
• Assist in planning and coordinating facility surveys, obtain reviews, and approvals
• Validate subcontracts and rental requisitions against contract and project specifications
• Perform price analysis and negotiation of subcontractor and leasing proposals

The successful candidate will have a BA/BS in a related field, or AA/AS plus 2 years directly related experience, or 6 years directly related experience. Knowledge of ship repair, overhaul and modernization processes and procedures is preferred. Computer proficiency with MS Office products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint is also required.
