As a key member of our analytical team, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing samples with accuracy and precision, adhering to our company's analytical SOPs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sample Preparation and Analysis: Independently prepare and analyze samples according to SGS' analytical SOPs using instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies.
  • Instrumentation and Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory instruments/equipment.
  • Validation and Quality Control: Assist with validation and MDL studies, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our analytical results.
  • Client Communication: Assist with investigation, preparation of responses to client inquiries, and CARs, providing excellent customer service.
  • Technical Documentation: Input and maintain technical information as needed to support laboratory functions/operations.
  • Lab Notebook Maintenance: Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable, ensuring accurate and detailed records of experiments and results.
  • Adherence to Company Policies: Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate Degree in a Chemistry or similar scientific discipline (Required)
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories OR 3 years of relevant experience (i.e. Sample Prep) (Required)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Chemistry or similar scientific discipline (Preferred)
  • Language Skills: English (Required)
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic (Required)
  • Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Basic (Required)
