Laboratory Technician

Eurofins USA Environment Testing is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our Orlando, FL team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will prepare and analyze environmental samples according to scientific methodology and validate/review data for accuracy. You will also be responsible for uploading laboratory data into the LIMS system, which generates reports for clients. Additionally, you will oversee the scheduling of sample workload according to due dates and sample hold times.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze environmental samples
- Enter and report analytical data using the LIMS system
- Perform independent data reviews for other analysts' work
- Perform analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples, and other quality control samples as needed
- Maintain client service and provide technical support as needed
- Assist the QA manager in developing, implementing, and collecting QA processes for analytical tests
- Perform confirmation of lab results as needed by client services personnel
- Perform and complete all analytical testing QA-related tasks as needed
- Assist in pursuing, receiving, and maintaining necessary laboratory accreditations
- Maintain and update all necessary training and QA documents onsite as necessary
- Coordinate and manage projects according to their rush status and due time for timely delivery
- Assist coworkers on analytical questions as necessary
- Participate in Lean initiatives and projects when called upon
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Manage and maintain the inventory of re-sale supply items and laboratory consumables and take necessary steps to re-order supplies as needed
- Manage and dispose of analyzed samples as needed
- Train new mycology or bacteriology or asbestos or other analytical testing analysts as needed
- Establish and maintain laboratory stock culture and reference samples
- Perform root cause analysis and determine and implement corrective actions for errors and issues as necessary
- Maintain all equipment properly and coordinate servicing of all equipment used in the laboratory as needed
- BS or BA in a closely related science degree
- 1-2 years of previous laboratory experience
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
The ideal candidate would possess environmental methodologies, general regulatory requirements, analytical laboratory techniques, laboratory QA requirements, knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and databases, and strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
Candidates within the commutable distance of Orlando, FL are eligible to apply. This role will be a full-time position with an hourly wage that starts at $18-22 hourly, company matching 401K, PTO Plan, and Benefits.
Eurofins USA Environment Testing provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business section, and geographic location.
