About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our team at Horowitz Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnostic interviews, and individualized treatment plans to clients with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health conditions, including diagnostic interviews and psychological testing, as needed.
  • Analyze assessment results to determine appropriate diagnoses according to the latest diagnostic criteria.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs and goals.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to clients, using various modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
  • Help clients develop coping skills, manage symptoms, and improve overall psychological well-being.
  • Monitor and evaluate clients' progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Assess and manage crisis situations, including suicide risk, self-harm, and acute psychiatric episodes. Conduct thorough risk assessments to determine the level of danger and implement appropriate safety measures.
  • Collaborate with emergency services and other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of clients in crisis.
  • Provide clinical and treatment supervision to colleagues, as needed. Review and provide feedback on their clinical assessments, treatment plans, and interventions.
  • Conduct educational workshops and group therapy sessions to enhance clients' understanding of mental health issues, coping strategies, and self-care practices.
  • Facilitate support groups to promote a sense of community and provide a platform for individuals to share their experiences and learn from others.
  • Develop and implement psychoeducational materials and resources for clients, families, and the general public.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
  • Consult with colleagues and professionals to provide expertise, guidance, and recommendations on complex cases.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Be available for assigned on-call duties, providing immediate mental health support and crisis intervention outside of regular working hours to unlicensed providers.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in the Behavioral Sciences (i.e., Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy).
  • Current clinical license as a Mental Health Professional in the State of Minnesota (LP, LPCC, LICSW, or LMFT) with no restrictions.
  • Ability to pass a MN Department of Human Services background check.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of treating Co-Occurring Disorders (CODs).
  • Proven experience in conducting clinical assessments.
  • Proven experience in delivering evidence-based interventions.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological theories, therapeutic modalities, and treatment approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong crisis management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree in the Social Sciences (i.e., Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy).
  • Board-approved clinical supervisor.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision.
  • Two or more years of experience with Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS).
