POSITION SUMMARY

The Personal Care Assistant (PRN) plays a vital role in delivering individualized support and essential Activities of Daily Living to residents in various care settings within Capri Senior Communities. This position requires strict adherence to both organizational standards and regulatory guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Availability: Must be prepared to work at least one weekend each month.
  • Resident Care: Follow the established Resident Care Plan to assist residents in achieving maximum independence with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and nutritional support. Responsibilities also include meal preparation, laundry services, and ensuring a clean and safe living environment.
  • Mobility Assistance: Aid residents with mobility and transfers as needed.
  • Medication Support: Assist with medication administration while maintaining accurate reporting.
  • Task Delegation: Carry out assigned tasks as directed by nursing staff or management.
  • Healthcare Standards: Adhere to accepted healthcare practices consistently.
  • Housekeeping Duties: Perform cleaning tasks in resident and communal areas as required.
  • Activity Engagement: Facilitate or assist in resident activities, both scheduled and spontaneous.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor and report on residents' conditions and any safety concerns promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of observations and participation in activities.
  • Punctuality: Ensure excellent attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
  • Organizational Skills: Exhibit the ability to manage shift responsibilities effectively while promoting residents' emotional well-being.
  • Confidentiality: Safeguard residents' health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and applicable laws.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Stay informed about state regulations and updates relevant to care services.
  • Training Participation: Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma, with a minimum of six months of experience in a caregiving role or equivalent life experience.
  • Completion of relevant certifications such as CBRF and/or CNA.
  • Demonstrated reliability and flexibility in scheduling, with a commitment to excellent attendance.
  • Ability to exhibit patience, understanding, and the emotional and physical capacity to meet residents' daily needs.
  • Compliance with government regulations and standards, including safety and health protocols.
  • Commitment to fostering high-quality resident relations and addressing any concerns effectively.
  • Adherence to quality and safety standards in care delivery.
