About the Role

American Express is seeking a talented Manager – Digital Product Management to help drive growth and transformation of our APIs.

You will lead a scrum team that is focused on maintaining and enhancing our loyalty APIs.

Key responsibilities include building and fostering a culture of agility and product ownership in close partnership with technology and business teams.

The Global Loyalty & Benefits Platform serves a broad set of products and solutions across the enterprise that require close collaboration with colleagues who develop new card products, digital channels, marketing operations, membership rewards, co-brand programs, card benefits, insurance, analytics, operations excellence and servicing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and actively manage a product backlog of features and capabilities that are refined and prioritized in close collaboration with the engineering and business teams
  • Full participation in and support of agile practices and ceremonies
  • Actively manage the team backlog by insuring it is reviewed continuously, represents the most valuable items for delivery, and includes customer feedback
  • Provide vision to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience working on/with software development teams in a product role
  • Familiarity with agile and scrum software development methodologies
  • Problem solving, project management and analytical skills; Bachelor's Degree required (or comparable experience) in Business or Computer Science disciplines (preferred)
