Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our pharmacy operations, processing prescriptions, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently using dispensing software
  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining prescriptions and answering patient inquiries
  • Assist with prior authorizations and cost exceeds maximum overrides for dispensed prescriptions
  • Notify navigator of cost of paid claim and assist patients with gaining grant coverage if needed
  • Order prescription after approval from navigator/patient by emailing central supply
  • Perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medications for patients, such as labeling bottles
  • Assist the PIC with verification tasks of correct prescription and check off in dispensing software
  • Track dispensed medications on tracer paper with lot, expiration, and NDC numbers
  • Track received prescription signature on RX tracker form
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduate of ASHP accredited Pharmacy Technician Program, Associates Degree, or equivalent with one (1) year of pharmacy experience preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of drug names desired with the expectation of continuing education on new drugs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
