About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Product Photographer to join our Art Department and Marketing Team at Jillson & Roberts, a family-owned company specializing in premium quality, eco-friendly gift wrap and related products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Imaging: Update and maintain our product imagery through professional studio photography, simple product videos, mock-up templates, and file organization.
  2. Marketing Materials: Assist the Art Department in creating and updating basic marketing materials.
  3. Product Review: Assist in product review for accuracy and quality control.
  4. Additional Projects: Collaborate with the Art and Marketing Department on additional projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Product Photography: Ability to take and edit quality photos of products, including those with reflective treatments such as foil.
  • Social Media Photography: Conceptualize, style, and take on-trend, simple social media lifestyle photos for our bi-annual printed catalog.
  • Video Production: Ability to take and edit simple product videos.
  • Graphic Design: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop to edit photos and work with templates to create mock-up imagery.
  • Software Skills: Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign to assist with basic updates to documents in these programs.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage seasonal updates to our online database of image and marketing files, following detailed naming and hierarchical organization structures.
  • Design Aesthetic: Create work with an elevated and creative aesthetic that aligns with the artistic nature of our products.
  • Quality Control: An eye for design and detail to oversee quality control of our products, including creating product master guides and systems to improve the process.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Project Management: Ability to maintain project spreadsheets and updates to our internal project management software and/or Microsoft documents to communicate project status clearly.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to use Adobe Acrobat to update and organize PDF documents, and willingness to learn basic updates to our products listed on online selling platforms such as Shopify and Amazon.
  • Newsletter Creation: Willingness to learn how to create monthly newsletters from template.
  • Asset Management: Seasonal filing and maintaining of asset archives.
  • Teamwork: Pro-active mentality to pitch in and problem solve as needed, and ability to work collaboratively and contribute as a key member to our Art Department team.

  • Advanced Graphic Design: More advanced graphic design skills and/or the ability to help with more complicated content layout and marketing projects.
  • Digital Marketing: Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, especially related to social media, newsletters, Shopify, and Google.
