Financial Services Representative - Retail Operations

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The primary goal is to support members with their diverse financial requirements. Deliver exceptional service to members while highlighting the features and advantages of our financial products to both prospective and existing clients. Collaborate with branch leadership to achieve all designated sales targets and be adaptable to assist across various branches as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Welcome and assist members at the credit union in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring prompt and accurate service during transactions.

2. Conduct interviews with potential loan applicants and new members to gather necessary information and identify any additional financial needs.

3. Support ongoing marketing initiatives and sales campaigns within the branch to enhance sales performance.

4. Identify opportunities to address each member's financial needs during interactions.

5. Promote additional credit union products during the account opening process.

6. Encourage members to consider supplementary credit union products during the loan application process.

7. Assist management in monitoring teller referrals to ensure sales accuracy.

8. Educate members about other credit union services such as IRAs, certificates of deposit, credit cards, ancillary products, and safe deposit boxes.

9. Cross-train for the Assistant Branch Manager position.

10. Provide support in the teller area as required, processing member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, money orders, cashier's checks, and loan payments.

11. Perform any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Familiarity with credit union policies and procedures, as well as a comprehensive understanding of credit union products and services.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years in a financial institution, lending, or sales environment.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

- Proficient in operating relevant computer applications and business equipment

- Keen attention to detail

- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Standard office setting.
