Your Role

We are currently seeking a Transportation Engineer/Modeler with a minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation engineering or planning to become part of our multidisciplinary team. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility while collaborating with colleagues.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting transportation planning analyses, including traffic impact assessments and operational evaluations.
  • Implementing travel demand models, particularly using EMME, along with model preparation and result analysis.
  • Performing microsimulation and mesoscopic modeling, as well as dynamic traffic assignments.
  • Supporting traffic data collection and subsequent analysis.
  • Drafting technical memoranda and comprehensive reports.
Your Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of travel demand modeling principles and advanced methodologies.
  • Proficient in utilizing large datasets to analyze and model travel behavior.
  • Experience with both activity-based and trip-based travel demand forecasting models.
  • Familiarity with travel demand modeling software such as EMME, Cube, and TransCAD, with a strong preference for EMME experience.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of conveying technical findings to a broader audience.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience with large databases and dashboard development tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, MySQL) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C, Java, and Python is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with standard business software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with GIS software is a plus.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning, City and Regional Planning, Operations Research, or a related field.
  • A master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in transportation engineering, modeling, or planning.
