UNC Greensboro seeks an experienced and ambitious advancement professional to lead our University Advancement team as we embark on a new phase of transformation and growth. As Associate Vice Chancellor of Advancement, you will oversee all university advancement fundraising positions assigned to schools and units across the university.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess the effectiveness and potential of our existing advancement program and architect a strategic advancement operation to broaden and strengthen outreach efforts.
- Craft and implement a comprehensive multi-year advancement strategy to drive philanthropic support for institutional priorities.
- Work with the Vice Chancellor, central development, and prospect research teams to evaluate philanthropic capacity, identify growth areas, and craft fundraising strategies to raise volunteer and donor involvement.
- Personally cultivate, solicit, and steward a select portfolio of major and principal gift prospects and donors.
- Build a high-quality, diverse team capable of meeting the needs of UNC Greensboro and foster a professional environment that recognizes and rewards performance.
- Bachelor's degree required, plus a minimum of eight to ten years of progressively responsible fundraising and managerial experience building the infrastructure of an advancement program.
- Depth of knowledge of best practices and all key areas of advancement.
- Demonstrated success increasing the effectiveness of an existing development program and its staff, including individual and institutional philanthropy.
- Proven success creating a team- and goal-oriented environment that empowers staff through active communication and delegation.
