Associate Vice Chancellor

UNC Greensboro seeks an experienced and ambitious advancement professional to lead its university advancement efforts. The Associate Vice Chancellor will oversee all university advancement fundraising positions, working with the current team to identify new donors, pursue known prospects, and engage existing donors.
Key Responsibilities:- Craft and implement a comprehensive multi-year advancement strategy to drive philanthropic support for institutional priorities.
- Work with gift officers and prospect research to evaluate philanthropic capacity, identify growth areas, and craft effective fundraising strategies.
- Personally cultivate, solicit, and steward a select portfolio of major and principal gift prospects and donors.
- Lead and direct resources for unit-based fundraisers, including development, stewardship, management, and philanthropic forecasting.
- Participate in strategic and operational planning for the division.
- Bachelor's degree required, plus a minimum of eight to ten years of progressively responsible fundraising and managerial experience building the infrastructure of an advancement program, preferably within higher education and a campaign setting.
- Depth of knowledge of best practices and all key areas of advancement.
- Demonstrated success increasing the effectiveness of an existing development program and its staff, including individual and institutional philanthropy, through established objectives and performance standards and resulting in a transformative increase in philanthropic revenue for an organization.
- Proven success creating a team- and goal-oriented environment that empowers staff through active communication and delegation, and that builds confidence, promotes diversity of thought, and celebrates achievements.
UNC Greensboro offers a competitive salary range of $151,075 - $168,776, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
