Join Our TeamWe're seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our Diagnostics business. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex software systems, lead the design and development of high-complexity features, and collaborate with a talented team of engineers. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for independently applying advanced engineering knowledge to complete complex assignments, leading the engineering design and implementation for all features and capabilities in one or more subsystems, and overseeing the end-to-end implementation of all internal and external interfaces.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of complex software systems, including unit tests and integration tests for a subsystem.
- Oversee the end-to-end implementation of all internal and external interfaces, implementation patterns, and unit, integration, and performance testing strategy for all features in one or more subsystems.
- Define strategies to meet functional and non-functional requirements, continuously monitor and review all code committed to one or more subsystems for quality, compliance, and design adherence.
- Lead implementation for high-complexity, mission-critical features and capabilities, oversee continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) design of one or more subsystems, and ensure test coverage of all features and capabilities in one or more subsystems.
- Develop software system test strategies and test plans, including regression analysis for complex features, and provide technical feasibility assessments to System Engineers on emerging user needs and product requirements.
- Master's degree with 6+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Expert experience in designing and developing complex software systems, demonstrated ability in providing guidance to junior team members, and expert knowledge in modern programming languages such as C/C++/C# or Python and agile methodologies.
- Advanced knowledge and significant experience building Web Applications, advanced knowledge in .NET Core technologies, specifically in C#, and expert level of understanding OOP.
- Expert level of knowledge with continuous integration & continuous development (CI/CD), demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to develop & design at the feature-level.
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field or 8 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field.
- Expert level ability to conduct thorough data analytics & implement data-driven solutions, demonstrated ability to efficiently communicate technical topics to all levels within their team, and hands-on experience with Blazor, Blazor Maui, and Visual Studio.
