Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, organize, and assess information from diverse sources to provide guidance to students, parents, and the public regarding college-wide activities, courses, programs, and services.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for the college, evaluate student inquiries, determine solutions, and guide students through appropriate action steps.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of college programs, services, and activities, particularly those associated with student onboarding and enrollment.
- Support students throughout the onboarding and enrollment processes, including admissions, assessment/placement requirements, advising, enrollment, and financial aid.
- Assist students in navigating the College website and all functionalities of the student portal.
- Proactively identify and define student challenges, troubleshoot issues, and offer recommendations to enhance organizational performance.
- Represent the unit in meetings as assigned.
- Conduct data entry and analysis, and engage in student outreach initiatives, such as calling campaigns.
- Review and process requests related to holds and credit hour limits, ensuring information security and accuracy.
- Coordinate and record incoming test scores for prospective students as necessary.
- Manage applications for admissions to the College and other related functions, taking steps to prevent and resolve duplicate student records.
- Collect, review, and verify incoming documents for completeness and accuracy, and scan/store documents according to established Federal, State, and College guidelines.
- Handle correspondence (mail, email, phone), including creating written communications to internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in admissions, registration, or an enrollment office at a college or university, including direct experience.
- Proficient in using personal computers and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship.
