Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our Intelligent HVAC Systems engineering and product development team. This is a hands-on, highly visible role in a rapidly growing company with plenty of room to grow.

About the Role

The successful candidate will design and develop electronic controls for HVAC systems, build prototypes, modify, test, and troubleshoot electronic hardware and associated HVAC system components and instruments.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electronic circuit boards, including selection of appropriate electronic components
  • Support HVAC system build-up, modifications, and testing
  • Utilize typical electrical test equipment to analyze and troubleshoot board and system-level electrical issues
  • Ensure all designs, tests, and development activities are well-documented
  • Develop procedures and manuals as necessary
  • Address and solve electronics packaging issues, including electrical isolation, sealing, thermal management, interconnection, electromagnetic interference (EMI), etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering required
  • 1-3 years of demonstrable experience
  • Broad knowledge of electronic control systems, including embedded hardware and power electronics
  • Hands-on experience with testing of electronic components and systems with embedded electronics
  • Good understanding of technologies such as BLE, Wi-Fi, power management, sensor control, USB, UART, I2C, and various bus communication technologies
  • Experience with current microprocessor devices and technologies including ARM SOCs, various microcontrollers, flash, and memory
  • Solid understanding of the theory and application of magnetics (inductors, transformers) and capacitors (Electrolytic, film, and Ceramic) used for power conversion
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design and micro-processors
  • Proficiency with basic EE tools such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, and Signal Generators
  • Experience with analog/digital circuit design, micro-processors, PCB design, and layout (preferred)
  • Familiarity with embedded firmware and software, with the ability to modify and update as needed
  • Working knowledge of embedded C, Linux, and Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with modern electronics design and simulation tools
  • Experience with electronic CAD tools such as KiCad, OrCAD/Cadence, and Altium
