Join United Software Group as a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to drive tool design and development in the Oil & Gas domain. With a strong background in CAD/SolidWorks, you will lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and API regulations.

We are seeking an experienced Oil & Gas Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and validating tools used in Oil & Gas wells. Your expertise in SolidWorks/CAD and mechanical design will ensure that our products meet customer requirements and industry specifications.

Your primary focus will be on designing components and assemblies, performing safety calculations, and collaborating with our simulations team to model tool performance. You will also lead design reviews, liaise with project managers to source prototype components, and work closely with our testing department to assemble, validate, and inspect equipment.

To succeed in this role, you must have a solid understanding of oil and gas tools, including permanent packers, open-hole packers, retrievable packers, hydrostatic actuation systems, production anchors, polished bore assemblies, and polished bore receptacles. Experience with DFM, DFA, FMEA, VAVE, and value engineering is essential. Additionally, you should be proficient in material selection for HPHT products, detail design of completion tools, and test fixtures.

• 7+ years of working experience directly in the oil and gas domain
• Experience with Concept Design and Detail design of oil and gas tools
• Knowledge of DFM, DFA, FMEA, VAVE, and value engineering
• Proficiency in SolidWorks Modelling assembly, drafting, PLM, and PDM
• 5+ years of working experience and understanding of ERP/MRP (SAP) systems
• Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and ISO 9000/AS 9100 quality systems
