Production Leadership Role for Electronics Manufacturing

Sanmina Corporation, a leading integrated manufacturing solutions provider, seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee production activities and lead a team of professionals in our electronics manufacturing operations. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive process improvements.
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the development and implementation of production activities to meet quality, cost, and productivity objectives. This includes managing the activities of the team, making staffing decisions, training and developing staff, and prioritizing production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead and manage machining and post-machining processes prior to OSP's or assembly, collaborating with manufacturing engineering, manufacturing process controls, quality, production planning, personnel development, and operational efficiencies.
- Drive production teams to implement improvements on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction with published measures for tracking.
- Direct subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Work on issues of limited scope, following established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
- Monitor daily operations of a unit or sub-unit.
- Require full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility.
- Support the transition of new products (NPI) into sustaining production as required.
- Assist in materials evaluation and testing.
- May interface with customers and suppliers on technical issues.
- Support development of new or optimizing existing processes utilizing Six Sigma tools.
- Support in developing standard operating procedures for operations group.
- Support group members' development plans and ensures effective succession planning.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's Degree / 2 year Technical Degree preferred.
- 2-4 years supervisory experience.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing required.
- Experience with NPI preferred.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred.
- Strong Computer skills, both MS Office and Google Suite.
- Excellent time management and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proactive and action-oriented with proven ability to work with minimal supervision and direction.
Physical Demands
This position requires standing, walking, sitting, stooping, bending; talking and hearing in person; using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reaching with hands and arms; substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers; repetitive motion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasionally may need to exert up to 30 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects.
Estimated Salary Range
$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
