Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate to join our team at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct vital sign checks, weigh and measure patients, and record findings on patient charts.
  • Instruct patients on specimen collection and perform basic screening tests.
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and perform electrocardiograph equipment operations.
  • Administer emergency first aid and perform basic life support procedures.
  • Assist medical providers during examinations and prepare examination rooms.
  • Interview patients to obtain routine personal and medical information.
  • Maintain patient charts, complete forms, and process documents.
  • Report observations to clinical staff and answer patient inquiries.
  • Provide information on health care services and promote healthy living.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Work effectively as a team member and assist in new employee orientation.
  • Direct and escort patients to other departments and health care settings.
  • Coordinate clinic and health care setting efforts in scheduling and re-booking appointments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a NYS Department of Health prescribed training program for Phlebotomy.
  • Completion of a health care setting-based training program in electrocardiographs and basic life support procedures.
