Neighborhood Services Organization is seeking a highly motivated and organized Development Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the agency with establishing and meeting its short- and long-term fundraising objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Execute agency fundraising strategies, including designing and implementing a moves management system to increase major donors and legacy gifts.
  • Arrange and execute various donor cultivation events, including the monthly "Lunch and Learns."
  • Provide timely and engaging communication to donors, including messaging on organizational outcomes, ways to give, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of solicitation materials, including donor letters, CEO major gift materials, and direct mail pieces.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in a non-profit fundraising capacity.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Clearance of background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screen.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in special event planning.
  • Knowledge of working with committees/volunteers.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to execute original ideas.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Work Environment:
  • Well-lit, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting.
  • Occasional periods of high stress.
  • Requires occasional after-hours and/or weekend hours in accordance with the needs of the agency and events.
