Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulating strategic pricing and budgeting frameworks to effectively respond to client proposals and RFPs, ensuring the firm's competitive positioning.
  • Overseeing complex data-driven spreadsheets that require advanced pricing and rate analysis.
  • Engaging with Firm Leadership, Business Development, and practitioners to identify and implement innovative pricing solutions for clients.
  • Assessing pricing requests in RFPs to develop suitable pricing strategies, collaborating with the Business Intake Committee for formalization.
  • Working alongside the Director of Practice Management and other departmental functions to track performance against client budgets and key pricing metrics.
  • Partnering with Business Insights and Data Scientists to pinpoint opportunities for productivity enhancements and recommend service delivery adjustments aligned with practice group objectives.
  • Addressing all analytical inquiries related to pricing and profitability, conducting analyses to support pricing decisions and drive effective pricing strategies.
  • Evaluating financial performance of practice groups, focusing on revenue generation and profitability through key financial indicators.
  • Leading the planning, development, and implementation of new firmwide pricing software solutions.
  • Acting as the primary contact for inquiries related to pricing software, providing support and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial and pricing analysis, including the preparation of financial reports and budget analysis.
  • Familiarity with pricing software and tools, such as Aderant, Iridium Pricing/Budgeting, and SQL Server Reporting, is preferred.
  • Project Management experience is advantageous; experience in the legal sector is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and modeling.
  • Experience in budget management, reporting, and analytical tasks; strong technical skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel for professional development and conferences as required.
