Job Overview

Valor Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant - Patient Care Specialist to join our team. This role provides assistance in the examination and treatment of patients with diseases and injuries seeking treatment in the clinic, under clinical supervision.

About Valor Healthcare

We operate over 50 VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) throughout the United States as a contractor for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Our comprehensive set of services includes primary care, diagnostics, laboratory, telehealth, behavioral health, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively assist with patient care, physical examinations, and ancillary tests.
  • Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other diagnostic equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests and treatments.
  • Schedule clinic appointments and manage patient flow.
  • Verify completion of clinical reminders prior to check out.
  • Comply with all VA and company training requirements.

Requirements

  • Diploma or certificate from an accredited program as approved by the state.
  • Minimum two-years' experience as an MA in a related primary care or ambulatory care setting; government healthcare environment preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including EMR experience.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year based on location and experience.
