Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nurse II to join our team at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, providing, and supervising nursing interventions for individuals with cancer and cancer-related health care problems. This role requires a strong background in oncology nursing, with the ability to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with cancer and cancer-related health care problems.
Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including Nurse I's, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Clinical Support Assistants.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time oncology nursing experience.
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Minimum Salary: $90,000
Maximum Salary: $192,000
